difficult October 13, 2008 this game is kinda tough, even on the easy settings. But if you enjoy the old days of a beautiful button masher, this game is for you.
Fun game! October 9, 2008 Right off the bat, let me say... this game isn't going to be for everyone. But, if you like over-the-top style stuff with some button-mashing boxing fun, you'll like this game. The controls aren't great but it's just one of those games that's fun in a party situation where you want something different than the 100s of shooters out there. The characters are pretty cool, the action is very fast, and the games are quick. For some, it could get old fairly fast and it is definately not a boxing simulation game.
Not as cool as you'd think... September 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
So I was watching TV one day and Kimbo Slice was promoting this game FaceBreaker, it looked really cool. Apparently they have this facemaker engine where you can hook up your xbox vision take a picture of your face and the game will manifest the face on to a previously styled boxed, I thought this was going to be fun and I was proven wrong, The face generated wasn't even close to mine and the game itself is a masher to say the least. You tap the button to jab either high or low, you hold and release it to hook high or low, and after you pulverize your opponent for a little bit a meter fills up allowing you knock the crap out of them sending them into slow mo when if you hit the button again you'll lift them off the ground sending them flying through the air. It's pretty cartoony and after every round depending on how bad you got beat up your character reflects the damage and pants accordingly to how worked you just got. It's silly and loses it's novelty quickly, like one time playing it quick lol. 50 bucks is absurd, if it were 20 bucks I could understand but when they charge the same amount of money for a poorly constructed game as the best selling hit titles, I don't understand how they get away with it. Shame on me for falling for advertising tricks I guess. Don't buy, wouldn't rent it either...
Pretty solid attempt at worse boxing game ever September 8, 2008 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
Immagine Ready to Rumble, now Immagine that but not fun and a complete piece of crap. There are games people say rent before you buy, well don't waste your money on even renting this game. This is the worse game I have played in a very very long time....I like Boxing games ,love fightnight and even thought Prizefighter was somewhat enjoyable....Believe me this game make Mike Tyson's boxing for the last gen systems look like a masterpiece. I cannot begin to describe how terrible this game actually is.
Wackness!! September 8, 2008 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I agree with the previous review. This game is garbage. Unless your around 5 years old and don't mind smashing butons there is really no fun factor in this game. I can't believe a Next Generation system still makes games like these. Stay away from this one and spend your money on something else.
